LaReina
LaReina's musical journey began at age six, with lessons in classical voice, violin, and piano. Throughout middle and high school, she competed in NYSSMA, earning Excellent and Outstanding scores for voice. At 13, a copy of Digital Performer 4.0 opened the door to electronic composition, synthesis, and production — a discovery that would shape the rest of her career.
Eager to escape the slow pace of upstate New York, she graduated high school a year early and enrolled at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2005, studying as a Music Synthesis Voice major.
With an equal passion for fashion, LaReina moved to Florida in 2007 to attend Miami International University of Art & Design, before returning to Boston, where she earned a BS in Fashion Business from the New England Institute of Art.
Drawn back to music, she furthered her education at Mmmaven in Cambridge MA., earning certificates in DJ'ing and Production in 2014. Within a year, she was spinning at some of Boston's top nightclubs. She went on to host and sound-engineer a showcase during Miami Music Week at Treehouse, featuring artists such as Maceo Plex and Deadmau5, amnd opened for international DJ
Leo Lanvin in St. Barths. In 2017, she worked as a live sound engineer at Blind Pig and Armando Records in Miami, and collaborated with artists such as Diego Val of The Voice.
Determined to become a true triple threat, LaReina pursued dance and burlesque performance alongside her production work, and later earned certification as an XPert Pole Instructor (Levels 1–4). This led to an online music video channel featuring DJ sets in off-grid locations, dance performances in music videos, and production and singing tutorials.
LaReina has released three original tracks with Type 3 Records, along with remixes for other label artists. She has since signed a record deal with MJS Records and made her mark on the San Diego scene, participating in Headroom Listening Sessions at Spin Nightclub and DJing at local pool parties.
